Its Frackin’ Rare
When the left needs you to believe some nonsense like mask wearing during covid or for the climate emergency, they clarion call is follow the science. So I just love it when science actually comes through with something cool that the left is anti or flat out against.
Such is the latest scientific discovery regarding fracking. Certainly something that has garnered the ire of the econazis for some time. They are the ones who drive the eco bus telling us to move to electric cars for the sake of the planet, yet have not exactly figured where all the lithium for batteries can be found not in control of the Chinese.
An interesting article I just read was about how lithium, in marketable quantities, can be extracted from the water used in fracking. Apparently there is an abundance of rare earths that are in the shale where they find fossil fuels. So it’s just not lithium from the Marcellus Shale formations its is also neodium and other rare earths from Colorado coal fields. Its not that we have more than enough oil, gas and coal reserves to drive the economy for 700 years at our current rate of usage, in the shale surrounding these carbon deposits are enough rare earths and other minerals to propel the electric vehicle forward without depending on foreign sources.
The irony of this is fantastic! News of this must make Sandy Cortez and Old Uncle Bernie simply insane! We need a green revolution, they say, to save the planet and the best means of finding the minerals needed to fuel this revolution comes from the very scourge that’s ‘causing’ the issue in the first place. How amazing!
We do not know if this makes the Green New Deal folks bonkers because they reserve comment. Ha ha, no kidding! When the mantra is follow the science and the science provides the incorrect answers then we have silence or condemnation. Here so far is silence.
The real science tells us several things. First off there still is no valid science that anthropogenic global warming exists. Which is why they stopped calling it global warming a decade or so ago. It tells us that if we electrify our transportation system and create the super computing centres needed for AI that the amount of electricity needed is like to grow ten fold in the ensuing years. Science also tells us we do not have the generating infrastructure nor the transmission capability to support this transition.
So by all means let us move toward electrification. Let us use cars we can not charge controlled by computer systems that are under powered and crash. Which of course mean the cars and trucks being controlled by the AI computers are crashing as well.
Or we just use the close to 1000 year supply of oil gas and coal we have beneath us here in North America. Scrub the soot from the coal smoke, ensure the tailpipe emissions are as clean as possible and stop trying to convince folk that CO2 is a pollutant. The science does not confirm this.
